This is my first feature and it is based on a toxic relationship my grandparents shared. However, at the funeral of my grandmother, the family found sensual love letters between my grandparents, which opened many conversations, emotions, and unresolved issues within my family.

Toofan Sena is an action-packed 6 episode dramatic retelling of the history of Prati Sarkar, a parallel independence movement started in a small village in Maharashtra by freedom fighter Nana Patil and his seven handpicked teenage soldiers. This rookie army operated from the shadows and through their sheer resolve and grit created havoc for the British in their village.

Toofan Sena aims to bring to screen this rarely told story of the bravery of these reckless teenagers and their leader Nana Patil who achieved freedom for themselves before the actual Indian independence in 1947
